I highly recommend Ron's Transmission in Norton MA. Both times I have taken vehicles there for service I found them to be friendly, helpful and efficient. They fully explained the work needed, time it would take and the costs. At my most recent visit, they were even able to perform the work sooner than originally scheduled, which was a tremendous help to me. When your vehicle needs major work, its nice to know that the people doing it have your back!

Paula greeted me in a very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful manner. She kept me informed with phone calls at every step during the process. When I picked up my car, Ron personally reviewed his inspection & repair with recommendations. No questions were left unanswered.

I'm writing to share my appreciation for Ron at Ron's Transmission.  I took my car to him on March 27, 2013 for diagnosis of a differential problem that was discovered by another shop during routine service.The other shop referred me to Ron's because they thought that fixing the problem would be outside their expertise. Before getting to Ron's I went to another transmission shop, a national chain. They claimed that they would need to charge almost $1,000 just to disassemble the differential enough to determine if the gears would need to be replaced (at additional cost) and to replace the bearings and an axle.  For a second opinion I went to Ron's, who inspected the car and determined that there was a wear problem, but not one requiring immediate repair.  He also checked and topped off the transmission fluid, and was not going to charge me for any of this.  He is an honest man who did a favor for a complete stranger (me).

The transmission on my 2000 Buick Lesabre was giving me trouble so I brought it to Ron's Transmission to get it fixed.  My car was in really good shape and I wanted to keep it as long as possible.  After the work was done I had no problems and the car ran the way it should.  It allowed me to keep my car for another 23,000 miles when I reached the point I needed to purchase a newer car.  I am very thankful for the job well done.  Any time I have a transmission problem in the future I will bring it there and would recommend them to anyone!  J.S.
 
This location was recommended to me and Im so glad it was! As promised they were prompt and saw my car very quickly without much advanced notice. As it turned out my transmission problem was covered under warranty which the receptionist told me about after she inquired with a Volvo dealership. I found that to be above and beyond service. While they could have completely ripped me off by taking my business they were HONEST and saved me thousands of dollars by suggesting I go to a Volvo dealership.

Just a note about my experience at Ron's. My Ford F-150 4x4 was making a very worrisome noise which sounded like it was coming from the transmission.  I brought my pick-up into Ron's asking them to diagnose the problem and to call me.  They called when they said they would, it turned out to be something other than the transmission, and for less than $100 my pick-up was as good as new.  I would recommend Ron's to anyone in need of a very honest and high quality automotive service company.   Regards,Alan

I have had two vehicles completely changed over to AMSOIL lubrication by Ron; engine, transmission, etc. and the engine oil lasts 25,000 miles and the transmission lasts 100,000 miles, so I save a lot of money. Bob



 

 

I recently had a situation where there was something seriously wrong with my SUV. A friend of mine recommended I take it to Ron’s Transmission because they would know exactly what was wrong and do a good job. Well I did and was I glad I did. Not only did Ron’s give it a quick diagnosis, but also said they could have the work done within the same day. That is just what I needed as I was soon to be going on vacation and needed my SUV. In addition to the great service, the cost was reasonable and thankfully Ron was able to work with my warranty insurance company to keep my cost even lower.My SUV runs like new now!

I recently had transmission problems with my Ford Explorer I bought new in 2004. I was loosing reverse and the transmission would make a grinding noise when I was backing up. The car is also also FWD, which made matters worse.. Ron's transmission was referred and I immediately took my Explorer over for Ron to evaluate the problem. 
Ron rebuilt the whole transmission in a few days at a very reasonable price I may add. The car drives better than new and a little better on gas to. I would recommend Ron's transmission Service. He does a great job and warranties his work. I would recommend Ron's Transmission Service 100%.

It is nice when you find a business who actually cares about quality and workmanship. Thank you for restoring my 2004 Nissan Maxima to how it was supposed to shift in the first place. The transmission on my 2009 Mazda 3 was acting up so I originally brought it back to the dealership to get looked at. I was told that I needed a whole new transmission put in and that it would cost around $3,500. I was so upset and had no idea how I'd afford it. I decided to bring it into Ron's to get looked at after being recommended to them by another local shop. I could not be happier with the results! Ron's let me know the problem was not nearly as severe as I was originally told and I had my car back on the road in just a couple days! I recently had my car serviced at Ron's (timing belt replaced). I was kept up to date with the status of the work (good size job, took a few days given parts had to be ordered) which was important to me. The best news is, Ron finished earlier than expected and the car is running like a champ. Even though it's Ron's transmission, I'll call Ron first for all my car maintenance issues and will refer anyone who asks me for good/trustworthy mechanic to Ron. A job very well done.....
 
 


I wanted to let everyone know how happy I have been over the years with Ron’s Transmission. Approximately four years ago I looking for a second opinion on the total transmission rebuild that the North Attleboro Aamco told me that I needed. I contacted the Sullivan Tire in North Attleboro and asked them to look at my transmission. They highly recommended Ron’s Transmission service to me, since they didn’t  get to involved with transmission work. I contacted Ron’s and made an appointment. Ron’s could have told me that my transmission was indeed bad, but after inspection they informed me all it needed was fresh oil and a new filter. I was so happy with their honesty and it was such a relief, I thought I was going to be spending several thousand dollars.
                Shortly after having transmission worked on, I bought a very heavy travel trailer. I towed it a couple of times with my truck and kept having my transmission temperature rise very high on the gauge. We had already planned a trip to tow the camper to Tennessee for a family reunion and I was fearful that my truck couldn’t handle the trip. I once again contacted Ron’s and we discussed different ways to keep the transmission from overheating. Ron came up with an idea of installing a  larger transmission cooler, an oversized oil pan, and running fully synthetic oil. Ron also piped in a bypass valve for transmission for cold weather driving since so much oil would be an issue warming up. We made our trip with no issues, even towing a ten thousand pound load across mountains during hundred degree weather. I couldn’t believe that Ron’s remembered my travel dates and I received a phone call making sure that everything went well on our trip when I  returned home.
                I was in Ron’s shop the other day buying transmission oil, and three years after completing work they remembered me and as always Ron and his wife spent a couple of minutes talking with me. I tell everyone around about Ron’s Transmission. It is really a rare thing these days to have such a honest, fair, reliable company.

Everyone was very professional from start to finish. We were given an estimate for the work to be performed as well a timeframe. Both of these estimates were very reasonable. All of the work was done in a timely fashion. Ron also pointed out possible radiator or water pump leaks that ma have sped up our transmission failure.
